Review – Xbox One Spectra Illuminated Controller

The other day at work I purchased this Xbox One controller. First thing that drew me in was the price + knowing I could get a discount on it from work. Another thing was knowing it was a wired controller!

It’s called the Spectra Illuminated Controller & it sure does look beautiful when it’s on. A friend of mine suggested streaming the unboxing on my stream – When I tried doing that, my green screen made everything look wonky because of the green in the packaging & controller.

Getting Into The Gaming Industry

So I’d like to share my [small] knowledge of working and getting involved in the gaming industry. It’s very competitive to get into the industry – No doubt about that! I’m still trying to get my foot in and get closer as I can.

Get A Gaming Degree – A major way to be guaranteed of having gaming work would be to go to school and get a gaming degree. Educate yourself with how to make video games, the design behind it and all the good works. It also doesn’t hurt to know gaming history and how it evolved.

Some will succeed and some will figure out they might not want to pursue it in the end – But getting a gaming degree is a great start for a long and successful path in the gaming industry.

SDCC 2014: Thursday

Yesterday night I arrived in San Diego. It was a long flight due to a few delays but I was so happy to finally land!

I already knew Thursday was going to be a busy day. We got 4 hours of sleep that night and went straight to the convention around 5:30am. First things first! I needed to pick up my badges.

It was about an hour until the line started moving (I won’t get started on the long lines…) and I was able to get my Thursday and Sunday badges. I was glad to be able to find/meet up with my friends and we waited a little bit longer for the convention doors to open.
