The Spotlight – Cayden V.

This week I was able to interview gamer, cosplayer, and nerd-culture enthusiast - Cayden! I've been following her on Twitter and I decided to reach out to her. Check out the interview and her amazing cosplay photos along with it - They're amazing!

GH: Can you tell me a little about yourself? When I was a kid, I was a big tomboy and had pretty much all guy friends. I spent most of my time rollerblading, playing SNES, and watching Saturday morning cartoons. As I grew up, so did my love for all things nerdy – anime, comic books, video games, sci-fi/fantasy, you name it! I'm somewhat of a "nerd of all trades" and just love the nerd culture and community.

Playing Well With Others: Awesome Group Cosplays

I love a good ‘group cosplay’. Even when I was a kid, I used to try to get my friends together to be like, the cast of Clue or Scooby Doo or whatever for Halloween. For some reason, I get an extra big kick out of seeing entire families in costume. Like, why not include everyone…and the dog? My own parental unit would’ve never gone for this sort of silliness – perhaps that’s why I dig these photos so much. Sure, we’ve probably all seen an assembly of friends portraying the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Sailor Moon...the more, the merrier, as far as I’m concerned! Personally, for this list, I’m including multiple-person cosplays: either really unique ideas, or costumes that are just phenomenally well done. Let’s take a look…

Tuesday Finds – Mad Rad Hairstyles

Lately, I've been going through a hair crisis. I'm very indecisive about having long hair / short hair. I recently chopped off my hair for a shorter asymmetrical hairstyle and I actually adore it! I like the easy maintenance and the refreshing feeling since it's already those warm weather days here in Texas. But then I'll randomly miss my longer hair style every once in awhile since I was able to have more hair style options. For my Tuesday finds, I'm looking deep for some geeky hair inspiration! Maybe you'll like a style you see yourself a give it a shot! :) I seriously could have made this list go on forever but I had to narrow it down to some of my favorite icons.

I've always been fond of Lilith of Borderlands. I know I mention that game up a lot in my blog *It's too awesome ^-^*!

inspirationhair-lilith Yasemin Arslan was chosen to model Lilith for Borderlands 2 when it was releasing. Check out this video that shows the transformation!inspirationhair-lilith2

Tuesday Finds – Alice Madness Returns

Do you have that one game you always go back to even though you've passed it a few times JUST because you feel like randomly playing it to pass time? Alice Madness Returns is that game for me. Something about that game that still keeps me entertained to play it over and over. Even the first version, American McGee's Alice is still fun to play!
