Tattoos I’d Love To Have

October 6th, 2013
Words can't express how many tattoos I would love to have. I have one on the side of my hip that I thought would be my only one - But I'm craving more! I just want to share the 'potential' tattoos I would definitely love to get sometime in the future. The reason I am holding off for now is because I am going to be searching for jobs after this December since I graduate. I live in Austin, TX and I know people here are very open minded for tattoos in the workplace; but I plan to branch out and I'm not too sure how many places would feel about that... I'm hoping in the end I'm doing freelancing as a business so I won't have to worry about tattoos being frowned upon at a company.

Onto sharing!... And I kid you not, I really want these! :3

tattoo-01 1. Card Captor Sakura Actually, my very first anime I watched was Sailor Moon. I stumbled upon Card Captors and immediately fell in love with the show! It actually surpassed Sailor Moon... I enjoy all magical girl series though; I'm such a sucker for them. tattoo-02 2. Sailor Moon Yes, I will still consider Sailor Moon a good part of my childhood since it was the beginning of my anime career. This are lovely tattoos - Even the place on the body is perfect! I would definitely try and make them my own style since this art is already someones. Lovely! tattoo-03 3. Harry Potter I got into Harry Potter in my 7th grade English class. We were required to read a book together as a class and my teacher chose Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone. I was hooked! I remember hating it whenever we would stop reading because class would end so I remember having my mom take me to go buy the book so I could finish it :) It still has a great spot in my heart... I may or may not be waiting for my Hogwarts letter still... I want a very simple Harry Potter tattoo. Just the outline of his glasses and a lightning bolt symbol. I was also thinking about getting "It Does Not Do To Dwell On Dreams and Forget to Live" by Dumbledore on my ribs. I've always loved that line! tattoo-04 4. The Famous 'Ampersand' I was hoping I wasn't going to fall under the 'graphic designer' spell... But I can't help it. They are beautiful! They say graphic designers LOVE ampersands - and sadly, it's kind of overrated... But I have to agree, I love them! They have such beautiful forms. I would love that as a tattoo - Just my designer side geeking out for typography. Do you guys have any awesome tattoos you'd like to share? Leave a comment with your geekiest one! Or just one you are really proud of ;) I love to see and hear the story behind them.

  • These are all really cool ideas! I don’t have any yet, but I really want to get a super simple tattoo of the origami unicorn from Blade Runner on my wrist or the sigil for House Martell (a sun with a spear through it) from A Song of Ice & Fire/Game of Thrones on my back. :)

Stephanie – Those sound great! I actually have never watched Game of Thrones and I know, I knowwww I must!

  • I love that Harry Potter tattoo! It’s adorable. I don’t have any ink yet, mainly because I can’t decide what to get or where to start. I like so many tattoos that I feel overwhelmed picking a first.

It is an overwhelming process! Only cause it is a permanent commitment :/! It’s always a nice thought though – tattoo browsing :P
