May 14th, 2013
New tutorial! I'll be showing you how to make some fun comic-book style picture frames for all your comic-con pictures/4x6 prints or whatever else you want to share!

Here is a really fast, cheap and easy diy tutorial to do!

Materials needed:
  • Any comic book you want to use, some sort of glue/adhesive + a brush to apply (I use Mod Podge)
  • Scissors
  • A wooden picture frame (I got mine for $1 at Hobby Lobby in the wood-crafts section, you can find it for .98c at Walmart in their crafts section!)
Easy steps:
  • Cut out strips of your comic that you want on your picture frame.
  • Apply some adhesive/glue with your brush and keep adding in more comic pieces until you’re satisfied.
  • (Optional) step - The picture frame will last longer if you spray a sealer over it. I used a Mod Podge Adhesive Sealer that gives it a gloss shine and some durability.
You can even use magazines, different colorful comics or even newspaper. The possibilities are endless when jazzing up a blank frame - it's your canvas. Show me your picture frame if you decide to create your own :) I'd love to get more inspiration!
